Part-Time Early Learning Center Teacher (Infants & Toddlers)

We are seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Part-Time Early Learning Center Teacher to join our team. This role is focused on providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 5 years). The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and committed to the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attentive Child Care: Provide high-quality, continuous care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, comforting, handling nap schedules, diapering, and close supervision to ensure safety during all activities.
• Curriculum Support: Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate, play-based activities that support developmental milestones in motor skills, language, and social-emotional growth.
• Nurturing Environment: Promote a positive and gentle atmosphere through singing, reading, talking, and responding sensitively to children’s needs and cues.
• Health and Safety: Follow all center policies regarding health, hygiene, and sanitation. This includes assisting with the preparation and serving of basic snacks and meals according to dietary guidelines.
• Classroom Maintenance & Sanitation: Maintain a continuously clean and hygienic classroom environment. This includes, but is not limited to, thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all toys and surfaces, laundering of bedding and linens, cleaning and sterilizing changing tables and equipment after each use, sweeping/vacuuming, mopping floors, and ensuring prompt cleanup of spills and accidents.
• Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with parents/guardians and fellow staff members regarding the child's daily activities and progress.
• Training: Do on-site training in our unique curriculum and program and in the study methods and philosophy we use that were developed by L. Ron Hubbard

Schedule, Compensation, & Benefits:

• Position Type: Part-Time (Approx. 30 hours per week).
• Consistent Schedule: 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Benefit: Free daily lunch provided in the school cafeteria.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Some college coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field is a plus.
• Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or daycare setting (documented child care experience required with references)
• Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 35 lbs., bending, standing, and sitting on the floor.
• Current background check and clearances (or the ability to obtain them) as required by state licensing regulations.
• Food Handler’s License (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
