Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with young children who may have some delays. This role offers an opportunity to foster a nurturing learning environment that promotes childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills. The teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting the diverse needs of students from toddler to preschool age.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and promote early childhood development.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support for children with special education needs or requiring early intervention services.
- Foster social-emotional growth by encouraging positive interactions and teaching conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare assessments using standardized testing when applicable.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support each child's welfare and educational goals.
- Ensure classroom safety and cleanliness while adhering to health guidelines and best practices in childcare.
- Incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods as appropriate to enhance learning experiences.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management, and literacy education.
- Ability to work effectively with children across various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience working in daycare settings, private schools, or similar environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods is a plus.
- Skills in teaching physical education, math, or implementing Montessori methods are advantageous.
