Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood education standards and promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods to stimulate curiosity and learning
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment
  • Maintain detailed records of child progress, standardized testing results, and individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians through clear communication about child welfare, developmental milestones, and classroom activities
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in daycare or preschool settings

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool or toddler care approaches is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Background in childcare or daycare environments with a focus on childhood development and child welfare
