Job Title: Early Childhood Teacher

Experienced and caring Early Childhood Teacher serving as a KG homeroom teacher at the Spanish School of Abu Dhabi. Specializing in creating nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments for young children in a multicultural context. Skilled in implementing student-centered and play-based teaching methods that support early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Committed to fostering curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning in every child.

Responsibilities:

  • Designed and implemented age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with the Spanish curriculum and tailored to diverse student needs and language levels

  • Established a warm, inclusive classroom that supported children’s social-emotional growth and encouraged a strong sense of belonging

  • Promoted active learning through hands-on, inquiry-based, and interactive activities to support early literacy, numeracy, and motor skills

  • Assessed and monitored student progress using formative and summative methods, providing individualized support and regular feedback to families

  • Collaborated with other educators on interdisciplinary projects and supported whole-child development across domains

  • Maintained effective communication with parents through regular updates, meetings, and involvement in school events

  • Implemented behavior management strategies to maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Participated in professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

  • Supported the integration of cultural awareness and diversity into daily activities and learning themes


Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Early bird program and afternoon dismissal will be on a rotating schedule.
  • School holidays follow the calendar approved by ADEK



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Years Education, issued by a Spanish University or recognized by the Ministry of Education in Spain.
  • Proven experience teaching preschool, preferably in a multicultural or international setting.
  • Native speaker of Spanish. Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Spanish curriculum and familiarity with innovative teaching methodologies and active learning strategies.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace the multicultural setting of the school.
  • Passion for teaching, a creative approach to education, and a commitment to promoting students' holistic development.
