Early Years Class Teacher Class

Curriculum & Instruction:

Jack and Jill Nursery is Seeking a 1-3 year old class teacher (Toddler/Early Years).

• Plans and delivers play-based learning, focusing on social-emotional growth, basic needs (feeding/diapering), safety, and parent communication, using creative methods like songs, stories.
• Exploration to build self-esteem, interaction, and readiness for school, all while managing a safe, clean environment and tracking individual progress.

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead creative, age-appropriate activities (songs, crafts, stories, educational play).
• Facilitate learning in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Adapt teaching to individual interests and learning styles.

Child Development & Care:

• Meet basic needs: feeding, diapering/toileting, naps, ensuring safety.
• Model appropriate behavior, encourage self-expression, and mediate conflicts.
• Build self-esteem and social skills through interaction and positive reinforcement.

Classroom Management & Safety:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment.
• Establish and enforce simple rules.Ensure constant, appropriate supervision.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and home life.
• Work with staff (TAs, other teachers) on planning and implementation. Attend parent-teacher meetings.

Assessment & Administration:

• Observe and track individual children's progress.
• Complete necessary records and reports.

Key Skills & Qualities

• Strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Ability to use play-based learning effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
