The Corporate Solutions team is dedicated to managing and growing strategic client relationships. We collaborate across departments to deliver tailored insurance solutions, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and business growth.


Role Summary

  • The Strategic Account Manager will oversee and manage client portfolios, focusing on maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure customer retention and growth.
  • will work to enhance the rapport with clients, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure high levels of retention.
  • This role also involves setting up meetings, delivering presentations to help clients understand and utilize services, and driving growth through effective cross-selling and upselling on accounts renewal.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of insurance products and services to address client needs effectively and provide tailored solutions that enhance value for both the client and the company.


How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to understand and meet their needs.
  • Account Retention and Growth: Develop strategies to retain accounts and identify opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling additional products.
  • Renewal and Negotiation: Oversee renewal processes, including rate negotiation, benefit adjustments, and policy renewals, ensuring the best outcomes for both the client and MetLife.
  • Problem Resolution: Actively resolve any client issues or escalations by addressing and resolving complaints, liaising with relevant teams to ensure timely and satisfactory solutions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on account performance, including loss ratios, usage trends, and financial metrics, to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with other departments to ensure an optimum level of service including operations, underwriting, claims, and support teams to align on client needs and deliver consistent service.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of MetLife’s products and services and stay updated on industry trends to effectively advise clients.
  • Collection process: Additionally, the Account Manager will ensure that all collection processes are up-to-date and efficient.


What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in account management or client relations, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to engage clients and clearly convey information.
  • Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze data and metrics to support decision-making and optimize account strategies.
  • Negotiation and persuasive Skills: Proven negotiation skills, especially during renewal periods, to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving Orientation: Skilled in resolving complex issues and identifying proactive solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in insurance or financial services is preferred to understand client requirements and the competitive landscape.
