ECE Childcare Teacher

If you answered yes, we would like to invite you to apply to Discovery Zone Child Development Center. We are currently seeking a part-time transition teacher or floating teacher to help close our classrooms from 2:30 to 5:30 Monday-Friday.

POSITION SUMMARY

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children
• Support children's growth in cognitive, physical, social/emotional, and spiritual domains
• Maintaining training and certification requirements
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be teacher qualified in all ages according to Oregon’s Rules for Certified Child Care Centers by having attained ONE of the following:

• An Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field OR
• 6 months full-time experience teaching in a certified center classroom OR
• At least a step 6 in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO) OR
• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential

Physical Requirements

These physical requirements must be met in order to successfully perform this teaching job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

• Walk on a frequent basis.
• Stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
