ECE- Experienced Pre-K Assistant Teacher

7 Steps Learning - Arvada North is looking for an experienced Pre-K assistant teacher. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for the children in his/her class. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about teaching and inspiring children to learn and love the arts/academic/play. The candidate must also have outstanding customer service skills, as well as the ability to work well with others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow teachers.
• Commitment to your classroom and understanding of your responsibilities towards your classroom.
• Provide quality service to the children and parents
• Maintain classroom organization.
• Follow all policies and procedures of 7 Steps Learning Academy.
• Maintain professional appearance, as required.
• Attend professional development sessions, as assigned and all scheduled staff meetings.
• Partner with and learn from the lead teachers in your classroom to create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play and grow
• Use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
• Help lead teacher to implement curriculum and work with preschoolers in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
• Maintain daily cleaning and hygiene process and closing the classroom.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous 3 years of experience in childcare services is required.
• Creativity to develop interesting curriculum, cleanliness to maintain high hygiene in the classroom and great engagement skills with children, is reuired.
• Must possess valid Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid certification, Food Handler Card, and Child Development Certification.
• Must have reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to deal effectively with children of all ages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
