Echo Cardiographer / Technician

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing echocardiograms, which are ultrasound tests that create images of a patient's heart. Their job involves operating ultrasound equipment to obtain images of the heart's chambers, valves, and blood vessels, and they must have a deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret these images.

Work closely with consultants, physicians to diagnose cardiovascular conditions, such as heart disease, valve abnormalities, and congenital defects, and they may also assist in invasive procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography.
