eCommerce Assistant

The eCommerce Assistant at Marissa Collections supports the daily operations of the company’s digital business by assisting with website content maintenance, product presentation, and online order processing. This role works closely with the Director of eCommerce and the eCommerce Assistant Manager to help maintain accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless online shopping experience.


The eCommerce Assistant collaborates with multiple internal teams to support product uploads, website organization, and the timely fulfillment of customer orders. This position contributes to the overall performance of the online business by ensuring product information is accurate, orders are processed efficiently, and digital content reflects the luxury standards of Marissa Collections.


This role is ideal for an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative retail environment.


Key Responsibilities


Website Operations and Product Support:

Support the maintenance and organization of website content to ensure product information and digital presentation remain accurate and consistent.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with executing eCommerce initiatives under the direction of the Director of eCommerce and eCommerce Assistant Manager
  • Maintain website content including product descriptions, images, categories, and pricing
  • Support product uploads by preparing and entering product data, images, and vendor assets following internal guidelines
  • Conduct routine reviews of live website content to identify discrepancies in product information, imagery, or inventory
  • Organize and maintain digital assets following established naming conventions and folder structures
  • Assist with documentation of product upload procedures and content management workflows
  • Support the organization of online collections, categories, and promotional groupings
  • Follow platform standards and best practices for website presentation and product organization
  • Assist with photography workflow and content preparation when needed


Customer Order Processing and Fulfillment Support:

Assist with the processing and fulfillment of online orders to support a seamless and efficient customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with daily order processing including picking, packing, and preparing shipments from store inventory
  • Monitor orders for missing information, shipping concerns, or discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary
  • Assist with processing customer returns and exchanges while maintaining accurate order records
  • Respond to basic customer order inquiries via email or phone in a professional manner
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve order, inventory, or shipping issues
  • Ensure shipping confirmations and tracking information are processed accurately
  • Maintain organized documentation related to order fulfillment, returns, and customer communications
  • Support fulfillment operations during high-volume periods


Administrative and Cross-Functional Support:

Provide operational and administrative support to the eCommerce team and collaborate with internal partners to maintain efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support including data entry, documentation, and internal communications
  • Assist with vendor communication for product information, imagery requests, and content approvals
  • Support eCommerce team initiatives, promotional events, and seasonal campaigns
  • Build working knowledge of designers, products, and brand standards to support daily operations
  • Assist with maintaining efficient workflows related to website maintenance and order fulfillment

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in eCommerce, retail operations, merchandising support, or administrative support preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, content management systems, or Shopify preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Interest in fashion, luxury retail, and digital commerce
