POSITION SUMMARY

The eCommerce Component Engineer l eads development, verification, and validation of components for eCommerce Parts platform. Support offering and pricing development. resources and data to implement and create ecommerce platform for thermal parts. Work with various groups such as Parts, Engineering, Procurement, and others to ensure continuity between groups. Update, Revise, and Create Comprehensive Thermal Documentation. Evaluate summary reports including key metrics such as the most frequently ordered parts, order trends, and anomalies. Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and approve alternative components for obsolete parts, ensuring compatibility and performance. Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Supply Chain teams to qualify new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's technical and quality standards. Provide training for internal and external teams (e.g., customer support, inventory management, product representatives) on using the new interface. Stay informed about new products, revisions, updates, and upgrades that may affect product operation. Other duties or projects as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop backend processes and infrastructure to update parts database effectively for the eCommerce site.
  • Maintain and update the eCommerce site with new and alternate components.
  • Create and manage content related to parts, including part numbers, descriptions, images, specifications, and pricing.
  • Support testing integration of backend systems with the front-end UI for seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Work closely with the Offering team to support development of SKU and offerings.
  • Update and maintain current parts document interfaces to ensure all information is current and up to date.
  • Collect and maintain accurate details for online spare parts manuals, and unit spare kits.
  • Track part obsolesce and report affected product.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of four years mechanical technical degree. Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience interacting with customers on a technical level required, field service experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of and at least one year experience in Vertiv Thermal products.
  • Knowledge of and at least one year experience in Thermal/HVAC industry. Familiarity with thermal products like compressors, motors, fans & blowers, etc.
  • Ability to interpret and understand part specifications.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling programs such as CREO and Solid Edge is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Proficient PC skills including all Microsoft Office products and web-based technologies.
  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical diagrams, piping drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong skill sets: Communication skills, Customer service skills, troubleshooting skills, Safety procedures, Computer skills, Mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of legacy and current products.
  • Interpersonal Skills, Professional, Reliable, Team Player.

POSITIONS ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (travel, location, etc.)

10% travel may be required, work flexible schedules, and maintain valid driver’s license.
