Ecommerce Content and Merchandising Specialist

Introduction

USA Brands consists of four unique brands and is seeking an eCommerce Content and Merchandising Specialist to manage our portfolio of four Shopify stores. This role encompasses end-to-end content management, product merchandising, and site optimization to drive sales and enhance customer experience. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining product listings, implementing seasonal merchandising strategies, updating homepage and collection content, optimizing product visibility based on inventory and performance data, and ensuring site architecture accurately reflects current stock levels and promotional campaigns.

Scope of Work

Product Listing Management

  • Create and maintain all product listings in Shopify. Ensure product titles, descriptions, images, pricing, tags, channels, and variants are accurate and optimized for SEO and user experience.

Collection Page Optimization

  • Organize products into relevant categories and collections to ensure a smooth browsing experience for customers.
  • Regularly update collection pages based on product availability, highlight top-performers, seasonal products, and new products ensuring they align with overall site goals and promotions.

Website Seasonal and Promotional Updates

  • Regularly update homepage banners and collection pages across all four stores to reflect seasonality, promotions, and special events.
  • Ensure product placement and promotional offers are aligned with current marketing campaigns and inventory availability.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency with other online and offline campaigns.

Website QA

  • Continually test all website features, navigational elements, and desktop/mobile UI.
  • Track errors and make suggestions for improvements.

Shopify Theme Updates and Customizations

  • Knowledge of Shopify’s backend and making UI/UX updates using HTML, CSS, Liquid and jQuery. Minor edits only, full development is not expected.
  • Minor theme updates.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with the internal marketing, customer service, and product teams to ensure consistency across all product and promotional content.
  • Provide regular reports on product performance, website updates, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as an eCommerce Merchandiser, Web Content Coordinator, or similar role, particularly with Shopify.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and project management tools.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Liquid, and Jquery.
  • Proficiency in managing product listings, collections, updating site content, and collaborating with other teams (customer service, marketing, design, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Shopify’s backend tools and product management system (adding new products, creating collections, adjusting pricing, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple Shopify stores/brands with a high SKU count.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and how it applies to eCommerce product listings.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms (GA4) for analyzing product performance, inventory levels, and sales data to make informed merchandising decisions.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices, product page optimization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
