Ecommerce Specialist

Job Summary:

The Ecommerce Merchant Specialist is someone who is a highly motivated self-starter. They are results oriented, and committed to providing an outstanding customer experience. The ecommerce merchant demonstrates a strong understanding of e-commerce principles, DTC skills, and has an interest in the digital landscape across selling platforms and marketing channels to build a competitive advantage. This individual is forward thinking and can identify impactful insights and communicate these learnings.

Salary Range: 75k-85k with fringe benefits up to $5,000-8,000

  • This position does require someone to live near Denver as it is a hybrid position and will require someone in office 1-3 times per week.

Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience (2-3 yrs. Ecomm platform management, project management, analytics and 2 years merchandising, budget and forecasting experience). Role duties will be split 70% Ecomm project management, 30% Merch, forecasting, budgeting.
  • Candidate should have a passion for ecommerce, and analytics with a career path oriented toward online / digital sales
  • Experience with and understanding of Google analytics, shopping platforms (Shopify Plus strongly preferred) and relevant e-commerce industry standard tools (Email platforms, onsite merch and search platforms, promotional apps, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) or Google Sheets
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize and meet overlapping partner commitments with excellent communication and collaboration skills. ie: ability to work cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized, excellent proofreading and grammar skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Own digital merchandising and assortment process & strategy, including product placement, search results, navigation, recommendations, collection setup, content placement and maintain clean product catalog tags and collections.
  • Apply strategies focused on key conversion drivers, optimal site presentation, maximizing consumer engagement and experience and participate in site testing & updates
  • Project management of all website, email, sms and loyalty program tasks. This role has eyes on all projects running through the Growth department. Responsible for taking detailed notes and providing clear instructions for all projects.
  • Strong understanding of product delivery dates and stock levels to stay ahead of any inventory issues, conduct full site audits, ensuring all current stock is displayed online correctly.
  • Manage site sorting rules, search term optimization, and other commerce related features that help drive conversion rate and provide a best in class DTC experience
  • Work with CX, Brand and Product teams on site improvements, updates and changes necessary for best-in-class merchandising
  • Identify potential site enhancements or changes based on your knowledge of the category, industry trends and customer behaviors
  • Work closely with Director of Growth and Brand team to choose products to feature (advertising, email, home page, category pages, etc)
  • Leverage web analytics to understand consumer interaction with site and marketing content to identify opportunities and risks for the business
  • Work with Warehouse, Wholesale and product planning team to identify and resolve inventory shortages and delays. Relay this information timely and effectively to Growth and Brand teams
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing online product launches and promotions. Work with Growth & Brand teams to develop and maintain a marketing calendar that addresses launches, inventory availability, key sales events, and seasonal campaigns
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the loyalty, reviews, and referral program.
  • Assesses the competitive landscape by examining merchandising strategies of key competitors to understand emerging online trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
