Job Overview
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), under new management, is a national organization dedicated to training and educating U.S. citizens in responsible uses of firearms through gun safety training, marksmanship training and competitions. The CMP is a federally chartered 501(c)(3) corporation that places its highest priority on serving youth through gun safety and marksmanship activities that encourage personal growth and build life skills. We are currently seeking an eCommerce Specialist to join our CMP team.

Position Description: CMP eCommerce Specialist

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's e-commerce operations to drive online eStore sales and ensure a positive customer experience. Key duties include managing product listings, optimizing the website for sales, implementing digital marketing campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to improve the customer journey. Manage inventory, process orders, and collaborate with other departments to include marketing, IT, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • E-commerce strategy: Develop and execute strategies to increase online traffic, sales, and conversion rates. This involves setting performance goals, forecasting trends, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Website management: Oversee the functionality, design, and user experience (UX) of the online store. Ensure product listings, descriptions, and pricing are accurate and compelling.
  • Inventory and order fulfillment: Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to manage stock levels, process orders, and handle returns efficiently.
  • Digital marketing: Manage and coordinate digital marketing campaigns, including search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, and social media.
  • Customer service: Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained by overseeing support channels and addressing customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Analytics and reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, sales, and customer satisfaction. Create and present reports to leadership to inform future business decisions.
  • Financial management: Plan and monitor budgets for e-commerce initiatives, such as marketing and technology, to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. An Associate’s degree/coursework with 5-10 years’ experience in this field will be considered.
  • Experience: Typically requires 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or retail management.
  • Technical knowledge: Proficiency with e-commerce platforms, web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and digital marketing techniques (SEO/SEM) is essential.
  • Analytical mindset: The ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights is crucial for optimizing store performance.
  • Leadership and communication: Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary for managing tasks, teams and collaborating with other departments.
  • Adaptability: The e-commerce landscape is fast-paced and constantly evolving, so adaptability and willingness to learn are vital.
