Economic Research Analyst Position Overview: The Economic Research Analyst is a precise, self-directed professional responsible for managing the data systems that drive economic development across South Central Kentucky. You will manage recurring deliverables such as the Open Jobs Report, regional dashboards, incentive research, and RFI documentation—ensuring every report is on time, accurate, and audit-ready. Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and update the Open Jobs Report and labor market dashboards on a scheduled cadence.
· Ensure all demographic, wage, and talent data are accurate and updated across internal and external systems.
· Administer and maintain the Economic Development CRM (HubSpot) to ensure accurate data entry, segmentation, tagging, and reporting for Economic Development.
· Manage recurring deliverables such as the Transpark & SCKIP Quarterly Reports, Market Insight Newsletter, and site marketing data.
· Support the development and documentation of real estate strategies, including coordination with engineers, utilities, and grant applications.
· Support RFI submissions through research, formatting, and document control of workforce, economic, and real estate sections.
· Track annual business expansions and new locations to ensure end-of-year summaries are complete and audit-ready.
· Document and manage timelines for research deliverables and develop systems to monitor their execution and update cycles.
· Assist in coordinating research-driven content for press releases, board reports, and presentations with internal teams.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Business, Public Policy, or related field required;
· Strong Proficiency in data tools and project management with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain a consistent, detail-oriented workflow.
· Comfortable building structured processes and maintaining regular reporting timelines.
· Experience working with CRMs, public datasets, and data cleaning or automation tools a plus.
