Ed-Tech Azure Software Engineer AI-Accelerated Full-Stack Engineer (Replit / Cursor)

We’re hiring Senior AI Engineers who understand both Azure technology and education/government systems.About the RoleYou’ll architect, build, and deploy Azure-based AI platforms that serve real educators, administrators, and citizens. You’ll lead full-stack and AI development using Azure-native tools—driving projects from prototype to production.

You’ll...

• Architect and deploy AI/ML systems on Azure using OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Search, and vector databases (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, etc.).
• Build full-stack applications using React, FastAPI, and TypeScript/Python, leveraging Azure App Service, Azure Application Gateway/WAF, Azure Key Vault, Functions, and AKS.
• Design and manage robust APIs, ML pipelines, and data automation workflows within the Azure ecosystem.
• Make key decisions on scalability, integration, and compliance (FERPA, COPPA, CMMC, NIST).
• Collaborate across product, UX, and domain teams to align technology with classroom and agency needs.
• Mentor engineers and scale an AI product team.
• Oversee CI/CD and MLOps pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

You’re a Fit If You...

• Have 5+ years building and shipping AI or full-stack products on cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
• Are fluent in Python, FastAPI/Flask, React, TypeScript, and Azure-native services (AKS, Functions, Cognitive Services).
• Have hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and vector databases (Azure Cognitive Search, Weaviate, FAISS).
• Understand education and government data systems (LMS, SIS, Ed-Fi, LTI, open data).
• Deliver fast, compliant, maintainable solutions in high-autonomy environments.

Bonus Points For

• Experience in EdTech, GovTech, or AI SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or adaptive learning systems.
• Familiarity with Azure security, NIST, SOC 2, or FERPA frameworks.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Data Scientist Associate).

Base Pay: $150.00 - $400.00 per hour
