Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor edge banding machines to apply PVC, ABS, veneer, or laminate edges on wood-based panels (MDF, chipboard, plywood, etc.).
- Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and material lists to ensure accurate dimensions and specifications.
- Inspect materials before and after banding to ensure proper bonding, alignment, trimming, and finishing.
- Adjust machine settings such as temperature, feed speed, pressure, and trimming tools for optimal performance.
- Conduct minor preventive maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments to keep machines in proper working condition.
- Ensure correct labeling and organization of finished components before transferring to the next production stage.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and quality control standards.
- Report any mechanical issues, material shortages, or quality defects to the Production Supervisor.
- Collaborate closely with the cutting, assembly, and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Edge Banding Operator in a wood or furniture manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with automatic and manual edge banding machines
- Knowledge of woodworking processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and production instructions.
- Strong focus on quality, precision, and efficiency.
- Physically fit to handle material movement and extended standing periods.
- Team player with a positive work attitude and attention to detail.
