Requirements: Valid Drivers License; Clean Driving Record; One Year Of Journalism required

The Chanute Tribune has an immediate opening for an editor. The paper is published twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate is ready to cover various beats, providing local news coverage to Chanute and the surrounding communities. This role will require using a word processor and Adobe Creative Suite tools. The editor is expected to attend local events and meetings, write six stories per week in AP style, edit copy, and design some pages. This role will report to the Executive Editor. Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills are a must; photography and Adobe program skills can be taught. Journalism experience of one year required.
