Job Title: Editor (Journalism / Long-Form) – Broadway Talk Show

Job Description:

Seeking a reliable, collaborative editor to help finish and elevate a journalism-driven TV talk show covering Broadway and the global live theater industry.

Editor will work from producer-built edits and packages to bring each episode to a polished, broadcast-standard finish. The role focuses on refining and elevating existing material, integrating B-roll and music beds, assembling the full program, editing and incorporating StreamYard segments, and adding final polish through graphics, color correction, audio mixing, credits, required attributions, and overall editorial cohesion.

You will also take existing show material and execute technically correct, platform-specific social media edits for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

This is a structured, notes-driven workflow with clear direction. The right candidate is responsive, efficient, and comfortable executing within an established editorial approach while contributing thoughtful ideas where appropriate, within that structure.

This initial assignment is project-based, with potential for ongoing work based on performance and fit.

The scope is designed to be efficient and focused on finishing and polish, and is expected to take approximately 10–15 hours for an experienced editor.

Qualifications:

• Experience editing long-form, story-driven, journalism-based content
• Ability to deliver broadcast-standard work
• Strong skills in Final Cut Pro (or similar), visual effects, graphics (including Canva-based workflows), audio mixing, and color correction
• Experience assembling full programs and refining pre-built edits
• Strong, current technical experience executing platform-specific social media edits (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook), including formatting, pacing, and delivery specifications

Additional Notes:

• Remote is acceptable
• Loving Broadway and live theater is a plus, but strong journalism and broadcast experience is more important

Pay: $20.00 per hour
