Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Editorial Assistant to support our content development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of written English, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about language, publishing, and academic content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread content with exceptional accuracy, ensuring consistency in grammar, syntax, punctuation, usage, and style.
• Adhere to and maintain client-specific editorial guidelines and preferences.
• Eliminate redundant or overly elaborate text to enhance clarity and conciseness.
• Coordinate with designers to confirm the correct implementation of author suggestions and layout requirements.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve formatting, heading styles, image captions, hyphenation, sentence casing, and other presentation elements.
• Cross-check revisions and incorporate author and editor feedback in final drafts.
• Maintain organized records of author contracts, legal documents, and copyright information.
• Review and verify work completed by designers and content composers.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines and project timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Publishing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in editing, proofreading, or academic content development (Fresh graduates with strong skills are also encouraged to apply).
• Proven academic reading and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in research referencing methods and citation styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across complex, fast-paced projects while maintaining high quality.
• Comfortable collaborating across departments, especially with creative, production, and design teams.
