Editorial Layout Designer/Graphic Designer, 1 year Experience Required

Position: Editorial Layout Designer / Junior Graphic Designer

Employer: Los Altos Town Crier

Location: Los Altos, CA (on-site or hybrid, given it’s a local print publication)

Key Responsibilities

• Create print ads for newspapers and magazines
• Design digital marketing materials
• Layout and design the editorial pages in InDesign
• Provide production support for the editorial and production teams

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially:
• InDesign (primary tool)
• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• Acrobat
• Familiarity with Google Cloud tools
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work under deadlines

Schedule

• 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (minimum in office 3 days a week.)
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend and Evening work may be necessary.

Must reside in Silicon Valley and have a reasonable commute to Los Altos.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
