We are looking for a political journalist or editor who wants to apply their craft beyond the newsroom-someone who understands politics, power, and narrative, and can turn complex realities into clear, compelling stories.
Our Common Home is a fast-growing global network that brings those left out of the existing climate movement into the conversation about how to protect their environment, on their own terms. We are a network of 20 entities worldwide, with a team of over 120 people, working across diverse political and cultural contexts.
Our network partners, based in critical nations around the world, work to take climate and environment out of the polarization dynamics that increasingly undermine the possibility of achieving the broad support needed for effective environmental action.
We are driven by respect for ordinary people whose values or way of life leave them excluded from the current climate and environment debate. We share the mainstream values of our partners. Our network is rooted in the communities where we work. We seek to build trust with these audiences, and we do this by partnering with the institutions they trust. Together with these partners, we run campaigns that build new solutions and approaches to climate change and environmental issues that are more rooted in the lives, values and priorities of ordinary people. By doing so, we create the political space required for lasting action.
We are hiring an Editorial Lead to take ownership of how our work is written about, understood, and supported by donors and partners.
This is a writing-led, editorial role. You will source, shape, and write narratives grounded in political and cultural context, working closely with teams across countries to translate complex realities into persuasive, high-quality content.
You will act as the editorial lead on donor-facing materials, including proposals, briefings, and core narratives. This is not a coordination or general communications role; it is a hands-on editorial position focused on writing, narrative, and quality for someone with strong editorial judgement and a clear voice.
