EHS Manager - Manufacturing, Ceramica & Plastics

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?


Saint_Gobain is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety efforts at our Niagara Falls manufacturing facility.

The EHS Manager will develop, implement and aim to continuously improve our EHS programs to protect employees, contractors, visitors, and the surrounding community while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements.

Will serve as the primary point of contact for all EHS matters and play a critical role in driving a strong safety culture and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) excellence.


Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for the Niagara Falls facility.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NYDEC, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits; prioritize and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow_up actions.
  • Train and advise employees, contractors, and visitors on EHS requirements and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit required EHS reports internally and to regulatory agencies.
  • Manage hazardous materials storage, handling, disposal, and documentation.
  • Monitor safety, fire protection, and environmental equipment for compliance and serviceability.
  • Serve as the EHS subject matter expert and key contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion EHS initiatives within the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework.
  • Collaborate with North America and global EHS leadership to align site initiatives with corporate strategy.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and emerging best practices.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 -5 years of experience in industrial health & safety and environmental compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NYDEC, and hazardous materials management.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures and training programs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS-related systems.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Preferred:
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM); HSE Green Belt certification strongly preferred or required upon hire.
  • Strong change management and continuous improvement mindset.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,000 to $178,000. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
