Job Description Summary

Roles will typically be aligned to specific businesses or sectors. Individuals will generally either be located at, and only support, a specific site or project (including construction), or have a role that requires specific industry/business expertise or interaction with specific business customers. This category will include those EHS professionals involved in “designing for EHS” (NPI), individuals responsible for customer or industry engagement, and EHS professionals working at customer sites or projects (generally not managing teams of EHS professionals or regions).
Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Individuals located at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities (e.g., a service shop or O&M site) provide day-to-day EHS, Security and Emergency Operations (EHSS&EO) support for that facility.
  • Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
  • Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities, and giving explanations on technical issues.
  • Performs standard works at the PB level as identified in site EHSS&EO Standard Work document. Examples of such work follow.
  • Audit company EHSS & EO programs, to include identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct EHSS&EO audits, implement corrective actions, track corrective actions to closure.
  • Gather data required for company business analytics and improvement systems.
  • Gather and maintain data needed for annual regulatory reporting (Toxic Release Inventory, Tier II, etc.) as assigned.
  • Participate in EHS related incidents and near-miss evaluations and problem-solving activities, implement corrective actions, track corrective actions to closure
  • Recommend improvements that will reduce potential EHSS&EO hazards to an acceptable level.
  • Serve as a Assistant Site Security Leader
  • Schedule and deliver EHSS & EO training and maintain all documentation and records of completion (including tracking of training deficiencies).
  • Utilize EHSS&EO Standard Work information in conducting job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to provide support to employees across all shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in EHS, Emergency Operations, or Security
