E-PLEX Quail Hill – Middle School ELA Teacher Hiring (Grades 6–8)

E-PLEX Quail Hill is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher to work with students in Grades 6 through 8 in a structured and supportive learning environment.

Our afterschool program focuses on strengthening students' reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love of literature and effective communication through engaging instruction. This is a part-time position beginning in August.

Position Details

• Location: 6725 Quail Hill Parkway, Irvine, CA 92603
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Working Hours: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

• Teach English Language Arts to students in Grades 6–8
• Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills
• Prepare and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
• Provide individualized academic support based on student needs
• Maintain a positive, structured, and productive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Strong knowledge of middle school ELA curriculum, including reading comprehension and writing instruction
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Responsible, organized, and team-oriented

Preferred

• Teaching Credential holders are strongly preferred
• Candidates with prior teaching or tutoring experience are strongly preferred
