We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ELA/History Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities

- Utilize various teaching strategies, including creative writing, journalism, and instructional design, to engage students in learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits, providing guidance in research, writing skills, and standardized testing preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in teaching methodologies.
- Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback on student performance, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Maintain organized records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic achievements and areas for growth.

Experience
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably with classroom experience in both ELA and History subjects.
- Familiarity with curriculum development processes and instructional design principles.
- Strong understanding of literacy education methodologies and behavior management techniques.
- Experience in higher education teaching or private school environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of educational administration practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using the Chicago Manual of Style for writing assignments and copy editing tasks.
- Ability to apply linguistics principles to enhance language instruction.
