Job Summery

The Manager of Electrical Systems & Drive Integration will be responsible for the end-to-end technical lifecycle of our core electrical products. This includes the detailed design of electrical panels, selection and integration of electric motors, and the configuration of power electronics like VFDs and Inverters. This is a "subject matter expert" role that bridges the gap between theoretical design, supplier capabilities, and business requirements.

Job Description

• Panel Engineering: Create and review detailed electrical schematics, GA drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for Power and Control Panels.
• Component Selection: Select critical components (switchgear, protection devices, filters, and thermal management) based on rigorous engineering calculations and application needs.
• Testing & Validation: Define testing protocols for prototypes. Conduct performance validation, thermal analysis, and harmonic testing of VFD-driven systems.
• Supplier & Business Interface: Technical Sourcing: Work closely with the procurement team to evaluate new suppliers. Conduct technical audits of supplier products to ensure they meet our internal quality and performance benchmarks.
• Requirement Mapping: Translate business/customer requirements into technical specifications for the design team and external vendors.
• Cost Optimization: Drive Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to optimize the cost of panels and drive systems without compromising reliability or safety.
• Documentation & Process: Lifecycle Documentation: Own the technical documentation for the product line, including wiring diagrams, logic flowcharts, programming manuals for VFDs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Standardization: Maintain a library of standardized components and design blocks to reduce engineering lead time for new business orders.
