Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer (Elektrik ve Enstrüman Bakım Mühendisi)

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled E&I Maintenance Engineer to ensure the continuous reliability, safety and optimal efficiency of all electrical and instrumentation equipment across our Polatlı plant.
The candidate will provide hands-on technical support, promote safety standards, oversee maintenance activities (both routine and specific) and contribute to the plant's continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge of high voltage (HV) electrical systems, as well as critical plant instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC and HMI).
Location: Polatlı Area, Ankara, Turkey
Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Key responsibilities:

Safety, Health & Environment (HSE):

  • Ensure the rigorous application of key plant safety rules, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) and Work Permit systems.

  • Actively participate in the analysis, treatment and reporting of incidents (including root cause analysis), ensuring the timely implementation of corrective action plans.

  • Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process for all plant modifications within your area of responsibility.

Electrical Operations & Maintenance:

  • Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for all electrical equipment, including High Voltage (HV, >1000 V) and Low Voltage (LV, 1000 V) installations.

  • Take responsibility for high voltage electrical power installations, including operating procedures, security measures and being on call to intervene during operational failures.

  • Plan and manage preventive maintenance programmes and general overhauls (turnarounds) for all electrical equipment in collaboration with contractors and specialists.

  • Contribute to preparing the annual budget for operating, maintaining and renewing electrical equipment, ensuring sufficient availability of spare parts.

Instrumentation & Control Systems:

  • Support the maintenance team during the inspection, repair and replacement of all critical instruments and automation systems (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters and analysers).

  • Use in-depth knowledge of DCS, PLC, telemetry and HMI systems to support control strategies and troubleshooting.

  • Develop, improve and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), providing internal training to field personnel on best practices.

  • Specify, source and select new instruments, suppliers and consultants for production and project needs, championing automation and design for reliability initiatives.

Are you a MATCH?

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or related technical diploma.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the industrial maintenance area or plant operations environment, specifically within electrical and instrumentation.

  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required.

Technical Expertise

  • Electrical Safety & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance strategies and all relevant local regulations for electrical installations and safety.

  • Control Systems Mastery: Strong technical command of instrumentation, analytical equipment, and critical control systems, including DCS, PLC, telemetry, and HMIs.

  • Required Certification: GT-TQ-ASU-001, GT-TQ-COG-001, GT-TQ-HYC-001.
