Electrical BIM Engineer (Revit MEP)

Job Summary:

Smart Box Industries LLC is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in BIM Modelling using Revit MEP. The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing detailed Electrical BIM models, with the ability to incorporate Plumbing modelling as needed during project work. They will coordinate with other disciplines and ensure compliance with design and project standards

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update detailed Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP, incorporating Plumbing elements as required.
• Prepare electrical shop drawings, layouts, and schematic diagrams as per project requirements, including plumbing integrations where applicable.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure design accuracy and clash-free integration.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and other design-related activities in line with UAE standards and DEWA regulations; assist with plumbing calculations if incorporated.
• Support site teams with design clarifications, material submittals, and technical queries.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with company BIM standards and QA/QC procedures.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical input when required
• Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflow documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-4 years of experience in BIM Modelling for MEP systems, with specific expertise in Revit (Electrical), and familiarity with Plumbing modelling.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of UAE electrical design codes and DEWA regulations.
• Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and LOD standards.
• Experience in modular or prefabricated construction will be an added advantage

Key Skills:

• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and BIM modelling for electrical systems, with the ability to handle plumbing modelling.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, load calculations, and UAE authority standards (DEWA/ADDC); basic knowledge of plumbing design.
• Skilled in coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
