POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Construction Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of electrical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience working as an Industrial Electrician.
  • 4+ years of estimating experience; can be parallel with other work with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Journeyman license required
  • Must acquire Masters Electrician License within 12 months of hire.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and record allowing for insurance coverage.
  • Proficient in construction project management tools and software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD).
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC).
  • Must be able to terminate both High and low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical components relative to automation.
  • Has the ability to trouble shoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
  • Able to serve as a supervisor for apprentices providing for all the hours, documentation, and support for apprentices to become licensed journeymen.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop detailed project schedules.
  • Collaborate with construction team members to identify project needs and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate all electrical construction activities with other trades to avoid conflicts.
  • Supervise and manage electrical subcontractors, foremen, and electricians.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Conduct regular meetings with teams to discuss project updates, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections to verify the quality of installations and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Address and resolve any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Track expenses and approve invoices to ensure alignment with budget goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the job site.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
  • Investigate and report incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed project records, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Provide regular updates to clients, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in project close-out procedures, including final inspections and documentation.
  • Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and to ensure the equipment is in good operational condition.
  • Effectively estimate the time and materials necessary to complete the job and ensure that target margins for the work are regularly achieved.
  • Continuous learner keeping up with changes in electrical codes and optimal work processes for industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of oil field drill sites and the necessary electrical requirements common to such locations.
  • Work with industrial facilities, power plants, manufacturing operations, and similar sites.
  • Work with process automation controls and equipment like those utilized by the company currently.
  • Experience with heat-tracing applications.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides maintenance support to identify inventory and assist with repair logistics of parts and equipment for SCADA, EGM, RTU, analyzers, gas chromatographs, process transmitters, and various communication equipment.
  • Responsible for obtaining E-Certs or proper licensing for electrical jobs and projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with training of team members in both in class on field training circumstances.
  • Effectively hire quality team members that are effective, experienced and motivated.
  • Responsible for callout on emergency communications outages or problems.
  • May require occasional travel by air or vehicle to out of state locations when requested by Company.
  • Able to make it to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification.
  • Checks and responds to all company communications on all scheduled workdays, including voice mail, emails, and text messages. Makes sure that old voice mails are cleared regularly so that the mailbox does not get full.
  • Complies with all applicable Company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK CONDITIONS:
  • Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.
  • Perform general office administrative activities of copying, filing, faxing, and using the telephone.
  • Install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
  • Bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment as well as power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 60 lbs and work at various heights.
