Electrical Controls Project Engineer - Conveyors (34303)

An international manufacturer in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Project Engineer to support their operations. The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with industrial electrical control systems (PLC), and have experience powering electrical systems and configuring controls hardware (control panel design) for large-scale conveyor systems.

This is a full time and direct hire position with an excellent benefits package (health/vision/dental insurance, 401k options. This position offers relocation assistance if necessary.

Electrical Controls Project Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per client application requirements
• Control panel design, including enclosure layouts, HMI/GUI (graphical user interface) design based on client requirements, PLC programming, and selection of manufacturing methods for customized automation systems
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on a project basis: read mechanical drawings and understand their electrical requirements to create schematics
• Create specifications for graphical user interface (GUI) based on client requirements
• Supervise control system construction and installation at client sites
• Travel to customer sites facilities to supervise control system construction and installation, and provide technical support for modifications and troubleshooting

Electrical Controls Project Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience with controls hardware or automotive conveyors preferred
• Strong experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed for project deadlines

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
