Position Objectives:
Play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for telecom tower infrastructure.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to design electrical systems for telecom tower projects, including power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, backup power systems, and cabling infrastructure.
- Perform system analysis and calculations to ensure electrical design compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including electrical schematics, drawings, specifications, and equipment lists.
- Provide technical support to Project Managers and field teams during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of the telecom tower projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers, structural engineers, and telecommunications experts, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall tower design.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure that electrical designs are implemented accurately and meet performance criteria.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical design for telecom tower projects. Contribute innovative ideas to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of electrical systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risks associated with electrical systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering; experience with wireless telecommunications or broadcast towers is a must.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, electrical system design, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, and cable management.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and familiarity with industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex electrical systems, perform calculations, and interpret technical data accurately.
- Meticulous approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy and precision in electrical design.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to the overall success of the project.
