Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer – Transformer Industry

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the transformer manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end electrical design and development of power and distribution transformers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical schematics, layouts, and configurations for power and distribution transformers (up to [specify voltage/class]).
- Perform electrical calculations including short-circuit, load loss, no-load loss, impedance, and thermal performance.
- Select appropriate materials such as core steel, windings, insulation, tap changers, and accessories.
- Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation using CAD and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
- Ensure designs meet applicable standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE, IS, etc.) and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers for tank design, clearances, and thermal optimization.
- Provide technical support to production, procurement, quality assurance, and testing departments.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate with clients to understand technical requirements and provide engineering support.
- Support testing and troubleshooting during prototype and final assembly stages.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in transformer electrical design (distribution, power, dry-type, or oil-filled).
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic principles, transformer design theory, and insulation coordination.
- Proficiency in design and simulation tools (e.g., Maxwell, ANSYS, MathCAD, MATLAB).
- Familiarity with relevant national and international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
