KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for an Electrical Distribution Designer with a GIS background to assist in GIS creation and engineering design preparation of construction drawings for various electrical projects. Candidate must have electrical distribution design and BGE system knowledge.
Electrical knowledge includes but not limited to power distribution (normal and emergency systems, lighting systems and controls, power studies, renewable energy design, and special systems).
Complete fieldwork to field-truth construction drawings. Make sketches, take photos, measure conductor distances with a laser rangefinder.
Convert GIS data to and from many different coordinate systems. Copy, edit and reconcile conflicts through enterprise version control software.
Combine powerful GIS capabilities with engineering standards to create high-quality construction documents.
Creating, editing, and updating point, line, and polygon features with complex relational databases. Import high-resolution CAD drawings into GIS feature classes with extreme accuracy.
Ensure the highest quality product for our client.
A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Electrical Distribution Engineering and BGE systems.
Microstation Experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Detail-oriented individual.
Strong communication skills, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Collaborative with and inclusive of individuals of diverse backgrounds and geographic locations.
Must be comfortable in both a field and office setting.
