Electrical Draftsman

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsman proficient in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems to join our team. As an Electrical Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for electrical systems at Novacare hospital Project Islamabad.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

2. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

3. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

4. Incorporate Building Management Systems (BMS) and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems into electrical designs.

5. Coordinate with other draftsmen and designers to integrate electrical systems with other disciplines.

6. Review and revise drawings based on feedback and changes in project requirements.

7. Assist in preparing material take-offs and cost estimates for electrical systems.

8. Stay updated with advancements in electrical drafting software and technologies.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.

2. Knowledge and hands-on experience on ELV systems like CCTV, PAS, ACS, FAS, QMS, NCS, Structured Cabling and other ELV Systems. Responsible for Installation, Troubleshooting, and Configuration of CCTV, Access Control, fire alarm and similar products according to project needs.

3. Knowledge of BMS software databases (programming and graphics) in accordance with engineering documents and project specifications. Design, integrate and support network migration for Internet / Ethernet / BACnet / Modbus platforms.

4. Strong understanding of electrical principles and practices.

5. Experience in drafting electrical systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.

6. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

7. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman or similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or BS Electrical Engineering.

2. Experience working with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

3. Familiarity with industry-specific codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).

4. Previous experience in designing electrical systems for smart buildings or automation project.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
