Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Draftsman (Electrical) to join our project team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical shop drawings and coordinated MEP layouts for residential, commercial, retail, villa, and high-rise building projects. The ideal applicant should have strong AutoCAD skills, practical knowledge of electrical systems, and UAE project experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Electrical shop drawings based on IFC drawings and project specifications
• Draft layouts for:
• Power systems
• Lighting systems
• Emergency lighting
• Fire alarm systems
• Low current / ELV systems
• Cable tray & trunking layouts
• Earthing & lightning protection systems
• Coordinate electrical drawings with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and architectural services
• Review IFC drawings, consultant requirements, and technical specifications
• Prepare schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, and sectional details
• Generate as-built drawings according to site conditions and engineer instructions
• Revise and update drawings based on consultant comments and site modifications
• Ensure compliance with project standards, DEWA requirements, and local regulations
• Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and documentation
• Support engineers and project teams with timely submission of drawings

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering / Drafting or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of MEP drafting experience (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Good understanding of electrical systems and construction standards
• Knowledge of high-rise, residential, commercial, and villa projects
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Basic coordination knowledge with other MEP services
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate currently available inside the UAE
• Immediate joiners preferred
• Experience with consultant submission procedures
• Familiarity with DEWA and Dubai authority standards is an advantage
