The Electrical/ELV Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across the facilities portfolio. The role ensures that all electrical infrastructure and ELV systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency, supporting smooth day-to-day facility operations.


Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Maintenance

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and ELV systems, including LV distribution, lighting, power outlets, cabling, and UPS systems.
  • Oversee maintenance of ELV systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, access control, public address, structured cabling, intercom, and BMS.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify defects, safety hazards, or performance issues.
  • Respond promptly to electrical and ELV-related breakdowns and emergencies.

2. Technical & Quality Control

  • Review electrical and ELV designs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring electrical/ELV issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company technical specifications.
  • Verify contractor workmanship and materials against quality benchmarks.

3. Project Support & Upgrades

  • Support renovation, refurbishment, and upgrade projects involving electrical and ELV systems.
  • Plan and execute small-scale installation/modification works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants for project delivery.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all electrical and ELV works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Enforce safe working practices for in-house staff and contractors.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

1. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain updated records of inspections, testing, and maintenance activities.
    Prepare technical reports, asset condition assessments, and cost estimates.
  • Update CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) system with work orders and status reports.
  • Provide recommendations for asset lifecycle management and system upgrades.
