Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with Dubai Municipality (DM) and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) approvals to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in MEP design and construction, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and site execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and review electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects in accordance with DM, DEWA, and international standards.
• Prepare and submit DEWA applications (load schedules, SLDs, LV/MV layouts, etc.) for approval and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients for project execution and approval processes.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and low current systems.
• Perform site inspections, monitor electrical installations, and ensure adherence to approved designs and safety standards.
• Assist in value engineering, material selection, and shop drawing review.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and resolve any design-related issues on-site.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local codes, DEWA/DM regulations, and industry best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• DM and DEWA Approvals (valid and up to date) – mandatory.
• 5+ years of UAE experience in electrical design and construction supervision.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design tools.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE electrical codes, DEWA regulations, and construction standards.
• Familiar with MEP coordination, authority submissions, and project lifecycle.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
