Experience with infrastructure projects in Dubai, in ROW (Right of way), dry utilities, cable & street lightening


Site Execution and Supervision

  • Installation Oversight: Supervise and manage all on-site electrical activities, including the installation of street lighting poles, high masts, feeder pillars, cable laying (HV, MV, LV), trenching, ducting, and termination works for infrastructure projects.
  • Manpower & Resource Management: Direct, manage, and monitor the performance of site foremen, technicians, and work crews to ensure maximum productivity and utilization of resources (manpower, equipment, tools, and materials).
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections to verify that all work is executed as per approved shop drawings, project specifications, and DEWA/RTA standards. Identify and rectify any non-conformances immediately.
  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve all technical and execution-related electrical issues that arise on-site promptly, coordinating with the design team as needed.

Technical & Documentation

  • Drawing Interpretation: Thoroughly study and interpret all contract documents, construction drawings, and electrical schematics (e.g., SLDs, wiring diagrams) to plan and schedule daily activities.
  • Material Submittals: Prepare, submit, and follow up on technical submittals, Material Approval Requests (MAR), and method statements for all electrical materials and installations to the consultant/client for approval.
  • Quantity & Progress Tracking: Calculate and prepare quantity take-offs, monitor and report on daily and weekly work progress, and assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and final billing documentation.

Authority and Compliance

  • Authority Coordination: Coordinate with local authorities, especially the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), to schedule and facilitate site inspections and secure final clearances.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems are installed and tested in compliance with all applicable local codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., DEWA/Trakhees/Local Municipality guidelines).
  • Testing & Commissioning: Oversee and participate in the pre-commissioning checks, testing, and final commissioning of the electrical systems (e.g., street lights, power systems) in the presence of the consultant and authorities.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure that all site electrical works are carried out safely, including proper earthing, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and safe working practices around live or high-voltage equipment, in coordination with the HSE team.
