Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Planning
- Design electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-current systems (CCTV, access control, data, etc.).
- Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams, and schematic drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with local authority standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, or SEC regulations) and international codes (IEC, NEC, BS).
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
2. Documentation & Technical Submissions
- Prepare and review design drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Provide technical reports and design justification documents for client approval.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built drawings submitted by contractors.
3. Project Coordination
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and authorities throughout the project.
- Attend design coordination meetings and site progress meetings.
- Provide technical support during all project stages — from concept to construction and handover.
4. Site Supervision & Inspection
- Conduct site inspections to ensure installation aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor the quality of electrical works and compliance with safety standards.
- Review and approve testing & commissioning reports for all electrical systems.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all electrical systems meet safety codes and standards.
- Implement energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, such as LED lighting or solar systems where applicable.
- Support LEED or Estidama certification processes (if part of green building projects).
6. Value Engineering & Cost Control
- Evaluate and propose cost-effective design alternatives without compromising safety or functionality.
- Participate in tender evaluations and contractor selection processes.
- 7. Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with new technologies and regulatory updates in the electrical and construction industries.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen.
Requirements:
1. Must be graduate of Electrical Engineer
2. Minimum of 5 years experience, with not less than 2 years in Dubai
