Technical Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience with control panels, motors, PLC systems, drives, sensors, relays, and protective devices
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, electrical safety, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving all electrical systems, power distribution networks, equipment, and safety systems. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, safe electrical operations, timely maintenance, and technical support for all electrical infrastructure, machinery, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of electrical panels, motors, MCCs, transformers, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in control circuits, sensors, drives, and PLC-based systems.
  • Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.

2. Power Distribution & Safety

  • Monitor and maintain power distribution networks across the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and implement necessary safety measures.
  • Inspect protective devices (MCBs, RCCBs, relays, fuses) to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain grounding/earthing systems and ensure electrical installations remain hazard-free.

3. Installation & Project Support

  • Support in installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Assist in electrical design modifications and upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical project work.

4. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical assets.
  • Maintain logs, checklists, and history records of electrical systems.
  • Identify potential faults using testing instruments and take corrective measures in advance.

5. Documentation & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical drawings, load schedules, and breakdown reports.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, mechanical, operations, and safety teams for smooth functioning.
  • Report major issues, recurring faults, and material requirements to management.
