Electrical Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

As an Electrical Engineer at Foresight Sports, you will play a key part in developing, deploying, and supporting the systems that power our cutting-edge golf technology solutions, including simulation studios, range systems, and enterprise deployments. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sports and technology, helping redefine how the world experiences the game of golf.

This position reports to the Electrical Engineer Supervisor and is based in our San Diego headquarters.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Gather requirements and specifications for the development of board schematics and layout.
  • Participate in design review meetings for both schematic and layout. Together with the Systems Engineer, perform research and hardware design on new boards and electrical engineering in general.
  • Perform detailed analysis on electronic components like power semiconductors, PCBs, and magnetics, and provide root cause analysis for electrical performance issues and system-level evaluation. This also includes testing for compliance.
  • Incorporate sustainability principles across the entire product lifecycle from initial concept to end-of-life with particular emphasis on product longevity and recyclability.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate sustainability goals into projects and provide technical guidance on sustainable practices.
  • Assist with research tests and experiments that could involve handling test and measurement equipment.
  • Create documentation for PCB and PCA release. Follow release procedures and serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production.
  • Once PCBs and PCAs are manufactured, assist in validating the design by bringing the board up and testing components and modules against the design and specification.

You have:

  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related background. MS preferred.
  • Experienced with Altium Designer and Altium 365.
  • Schematic capture, board layout, and associated board bring-up.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electronic Engineering capacities.
  • Understanding of Firmware / Software as it relates to electronic hardware.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, with strong communication skills.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
