Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
Lead and assist in the design of electrical systems, encompassing medium and low-voltage substations, power distribution, lighting, and grounding, from the conceptual phase through to detailed engineering.- Create comprehensive design drawings and construction documents utilizing Revit, in alignment with project specifications.
- Conduct electrical calculations, including load analysis, short circuit assessments, arc flash studies, and protection and coordination studies, employing tools such as SKM or ETAP.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, which include mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil engineering disciplines.
- Ensure adherence to NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Engage in design reviews, client meetings, and construction support tasks, such as responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
- Offer mentorship and technical support to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
What will you bring?
A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized institution.- 5 to 7 years of experience in electrical design for large-scale, intricate industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Proficiency in Revit for electrical design is mandatory.
- Familiarity with SKM, ETAP, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A solid understanding of U.S. electrical codes and standards.
- Exceptional communication and coordination abilities.
- Must be adaptable to work during evening hours to ensure communication with stakeholders in the USA.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Automative, Battery Manufacturing, FMCG, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Experience in Data center and HV substation is added advantage
- Prior experience in a consulting engineering environment.
