Electrical Engineer

Our client, a well-established engineering and facilities management service provider in Qatar, is currently seeking an experienced 2 Electrical Engineers to support an ongoing project in Duhail. The organization is known for delivering reliable, high-quality technical solutions while maintaining strong safety and operational standards.

Location: Duhail, Qatar
Employment Type: Contract – 2 Months (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)

Salary: QAR 7,000
Transportation Allowance: QAR 1,000
Total Package: QAR 8,000
Working Hours: 8 hours/day + 1-hour break
Working Days: 6 days/week

Role Overview

The selected candidate – Electrical Engineer – will support ongoing electrical installation, testing, and commissioning works for a facilities management project based in Duhail. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in lighting systems, power distribution, substations, and building electrical systems, with the ability to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute electrical installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and local regulations.
• Handle lighting systems, including internal and external lighting installations.
• Work on lighting control systems, including programming, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage, operate, and maintain Central Battery Systems (CBS).
• Install, test, and troubleshoot UPS systems.
• Supervise LV substations, including:
• LV Panels
• Transformers
• Capacitor Banks
• Oversee installation and testing of:
• Building Distribution Panels
• Control Panels
• Bus Ducts
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar electrical regulations, safety standards, and project quality requirements.
• Prepare daily site reports and assist with technical documentation as required.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues during installation and operational phases.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in lighting and power systems, with strong site-based experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Lighting & Lighting Control Systems
• Central Battery Systems
• UPS Systems
• External Lighting
• Substations (LV Panels, Transformers, Capacitor Banks)
• Building Panels, Control Panels, and Bus Ducts
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good understanding of site safety practices and quality standards.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Candidates available immediately or on short notice will be preferred.
