The Data Center Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of electrical systems within mission-critical data center environments. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical infrastructure to support continuous data center uptime.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical foundation in electrical engineering, coupled with experience in data center operations and energy management best practices.
Key Responsibilities

Design, review, and oversee the installation of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution systems, lighting, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and backup generators.

Perform detailed load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing to ensure optimized performance, resilience, and compliance with industry standards.

Collaborate closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver electrical designs aligned with project requirements and regulatory codes.

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify risks, improve efficiency, and ensure maximum uptime.

Support commissioning and testing of electrical equipment, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to safety protocols.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Proven experience in designing and maintaining electrical systems within data centers, critical facilities, or industrial environments.

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.

Hands-on experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and power monitoring tools.
