SCADA Engineer for HV Substation and PV Plant

As an international company, we are looking for a Scada Engineer based in Ankara, Turkiye.

How can you contribute?

The focus of this role is engineering, design and implementation of solar facilities automation system for both PV Plant, substation controls and TSO/ DNO integration of large-scale Photovoltaic projects to meet customer needs, legislative demands, and standards applicable within country.

After EPC contract award, liaise and co-ordinate contract requirements with Project Manager, customer, external suppliers and other Intec Energy Solutions Departments.

• Previous exposure to PV Plant, HV substation and Grid Connections projects covering engineering, construction and commissioning
• Align PV Plant and Substation control system with the TSO/ DNO requirement and realize the connection
• Working knowledge of Transmission and Distribution system automation
• Good knowledge in local and international standards with emphasis on TSO/ DNO requirements
• Good knowledge of design, specification, configuration and test of substation control systems from reputable vendors
• Good knowledge of communication protocols for power system, automation and configuration of application using different communication protocol
• Good knowledge within some of following: alarm handling, database system, server configuration in a virtualized environment, IT network
• Able to work with industry dedicated software
• Good Knowledge of SCADA systems
• Good knowledge in project planning
• Willingness to travel

• Good experience of managing and integrating different vendors
• Capability to transpose client requirements into design
• Capability to influence project cost by fit for purpose solutions

What will be yours day to day activities?

• Focus on Substation and PV Plant controls: define control system based on client requirement and integrate the control system concept in Substation and PV Plant design
• Prepare deliverable list for HV Substation and PV Plant SCADA systems
• Design of communication networks: switches, gateways, signal concentrators.
• Definition of SCADA systems: plant and substation central SCADA, dataloggers, PLCs, RTUs.
• PPC definition according to monitoring and control requirements and network code
• Definition of communication protocols
• CCTV systems: project and technology definition.
• Engineer and design Protection and Control System
• Provide information and coordinate with other disciplines involved in the project, manage interfaces between construction planning, and different engineering specialties and vendors involved in the project
• Contribute to equipment and services requisition and verify vendor offers for technical compliance
• Prepare BoQs and MTOs
• Attend FATs and SATs
• Manage the as-built preparation
• Contribute to pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures as well to the pre-commissioning and commissioning program
• Review documentation provided by Engineering contractors
• Provide technical expertise during contract negotiations with vendors and service providers
• Conduct calculations and design review related with the SCADA system of the Substation and PV plant
• Prepare engineering packages for TSO/ DNO review

What is the preferred background?

• Instrumentation, automation or electrical background from an accredited University in country
• Experience with control systems, automation, SCADA, PLCs, RTUs and IEDs
• Experience in SCADA systems in fields of high-voltage and substations, solar plants and their infrastructure is a plus
• ANRE authorizations are a plus
• Fluent in English
• Computer literate
• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant projects
