Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and components. The role covers requirements analysis, schematic design, component selection, prototyping, validation, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate applies engineering fundamentals, relevant codes/standards, and practical problem-solving to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, control circuits, protection, and grounding/earthing.
• Create and review schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLD), and panel layouts.
• Perform engineering calculations (load sizing, short-circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, thermal, etc.).
• Select components (breakers, relays, contactors, VFDs, transformers, sensors, etc.) based on performance, availability, and cost.
• Develop technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOM), and documentation for procurement and manufacturing.
• Coordinate with mechanical/software/controls teams to integrate electrical subsystems.
• Build prototypes and support testing: FAT/SAT, validation, and compliance checks.
• Troubleshoot field and production issues; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Support continuous improvement: design optimization, cost reduction, reliability, and safety enhancements.
• Provide technical support to customers/contractors/technicians when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Have ADDC experience.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in electrical design, installation, or product/system engineering.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink)
• Strong understanding of power systems, control systems, and electrical protection principles.
• Ability to read and create technical drawings and documentation.
• Familiarity with testing tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, insulation tester, power analyzer, etc.).
• Solid communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Fluent in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
