Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in power and utility projects, specifically with TAQA projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in cable laying, cable termination, and substation equipment installation.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute cable laying activities (MV/LV/Control cables) as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Perform and oversee cable termination works (heat shrink / cold shrink / GIS terminations).
• Coordinate and supervise substation equipment installation, including transformers, switchgear, RMUs, panels, and associated systems.
• Ensure compliance with TAQA standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Review technical drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams for timely project execution.
• Conduct inspections and testing activities related to installation works.
• Prepare progress reports and support project documentation requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in TAQA projects (mandatory).
• Proven experience in:
• Cable laying (MV/LV/Control)
• Cable termination works
• Substation equipment installation
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and QA/QC procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• UAE experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with DEWA/TAQA/ADDC standards (if applicable).
• Experience in energization support and testing & commissioning activities.
• Strong problem-solving and site coordination skills.
