ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

QUALIFICATION: TAQA.D – Competent Engineer for supervision on Cable Laying, jointing, Termination up to 22KV

1️ Design & Planning

• Prepare electrical design drawings and layouts
• Design power distribution systems (LV systems)
• Design lighting systems (indoor & outdoor)
• Load calculation and voltage drop calculation
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD)
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., ADDC/DEWA)

2️ Installation & Site Supervision

• Supervise electrical installation works on site
• Ensure work is done according to approved drawings
• Monitor cable laying, panel installation, lighting fixtures, etc.
• Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams
• Inspect subcontractor works

3️ Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct testing of panels, cables, and equipment
• Perform insulation resistance test (IR test)
• Ensure proper functioning of lighting, power, and fire alarm systems
• Prepare commissioning reports

4️ Coordination & Documentation

• Attend site meetings
• Coordinate with consultants and clients
• Prepare material submittals and technical data sheets
• Raise RFIs (Request for Information)
• Maintain as-built drawings

5️ Safety & Compliance

• Ensure electrical safety standards are followed
• Implement HSE procedures
• Ensure grounding and earthing systems are properly installed
• Follow authority regulations (e.g., Abu Dhabi Distribution Company or Dubai Electricity and Water Authority)

6️ Cost Control & Estimation

• Assist in BOQ preparation
• Estimate materials and manpower
• Monitor project budget related to electrical works
