About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to lead and oversee electrical engineering activities across our projects, including power distribution, industrial, and infrastructure works, with a strong focus on utility-related (TAQA) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MV/LV electrical systems, ensuring full compliance with TAQA standards, ADDC/ADWEA regulations, and international electrical codes.

This role requires the ability to manage complete project life cycles—from engineering and procurement to execution, testing, and final handover—while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a structured and fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineering of 11kV/33kV MV systems, LV distribution networks, transformers, and switchgear
• Preparation of shop drawings, load calculations, single line diagrams (SLDs), and technical submittals
• Coordination with TAQA and other utility authorities for approvals, inspections, and system energization
• Project execution, site supervision, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Vendor coordination, material evaluation, approvals, and procurement support
• Ensuring compliance with TAQA, DEWA/ADDC regulations, IEC standards, and local authority requirements
• Troubleshooting electrical issues, planning preventive maintenance, and implementing system upgrades

Project Experience

• Execution of industrial plant, substation, and infrastructure projects
• Utility interface works and power distribution system integration
• Installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers and switchgear
• Modifications, upgrades, and optimization of HV/MV/LV electrical networks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects
• Proven experience with TAQA and other utility authority requirements and procedures
• ETAP/AutoCAD/Power system studies
• Project management & coordination

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• UPDA/PE Registration or equivalent professional engineering license
• NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety certification
• Certified Electrical Engineer or relevant authority approvals
